Bill's 778 Racer

Went looking for a local cruise last night, hit three different little gatherings and met a guy driving a bright orange '27T that has '778' on the doors with a stack of Bonneville stickers - picture below is 2009, and the stickers now span through 2012.

Guy named Bill Brutsman - talks a mile a minute, lots of stories, and obviously loves hot rods and hands on building. He'd spent the day at the local Pick & Pull, scouring the yard for goodies. Says the T is daily transportation with a base 302 SBF in it, and with a built Boss 302 he drives it out to Bonneville pulling a trailer, helps out with tech inspections, etc, and then runs it for record times - it's done 213mph! Anyone know Bill from Bonneville or ? Seems to be a nice guy.

I've known Bill for ages, although I haven't talked to him in some time. He once worked for Holley carburetors and would stop by my house whenever he was traveling through.

He and Rick Eccli from Cheyenne used to freelance writing and photographing articles for the major street rodding magazines back in the early seventies.

Great guy but yes he will definetly talk your leg off!
