another pile of parts!

there i was just minding my own business and this old chev (1936) truck just
jumped on the back and wouldn't leave:LOL:
now since everything is there sheet metal wise the only problem i can see is the lack of a frame to put it on.
since i'm on the "verge of retirement time isn't a problem,a suitable foundation is needed for the truck. it is 112" wheelbase. so the whole point of this thread would be
what would be a good foundation for this project? an s10 long box frame and a lot of
cutting and reverse engineering to make it fit and look right, or do i bite the bullet and
buy a prebuilt roller frame? if so where?
my brain is starting to hurt...:whacked:

just build a box frame since you have the time you can put a mustang ifs on too

I will agree with Charlie, the time you spend fixing a S10 frame you could of build a frame to your liking. Hey,I do like your A Fordor too and thanks for keeping the A grille on it. You will have to post some photo's of the panels etc. so we can see what you started with.

to get a frame certified up here is nuts, what b.c. means up here in canada is bring cash!
an s10 frame although a lot of work seems the way to go, however i really like the mustang 2 suspension on my other car... pics of that one are on the gallery page...at least it had a frame under it:)

Hey Donnie, good seeing you back on here!!! Know whatcha mean on them projects just showing up!!!! Back many moons ago I sold a couple of my Deuce frames to a guy from BC, I know he went through pure hell getting the frames legal!!!!! Nothing to do with safety or components used, seemed to be just mostly the government getting the max tax they could on everything!!!!!

Yeah Donnie, lots of sites are full of flame specialists!!!!! Most never seem to have a current project, but used to have or are going to build a Riddler winner!!!!! In the meantime, they live to put the bad mouth on anyone who doesn't do things the way they would do it---should they ever do anything!!!!!

Around here, we just seem to gather up a batch of been there, done that types, real live Hot Rodders who always have a project or three of their own in the works and are willing to suggest what may or may not work to others..... Guess I'll stay here and take quality over quantity any day!!!!!!

thanx Mike, man are the cabs tiny on these trucks, my work truck is a "95 s10, 107" wheelbase, i'll use it for a template of sorts. measure all the tracking width and stuff, the "88 to "93 s10 reguler cab long box is 118" or so, some where under
the cab will have to be shortened i expect.
