    what a day

got to spend yesterday at the ER
i was laying on the floor doubled up in pain. so i went to urgent care.
they thought it was an appedicitis attack.
after sonar and a CAT scan showed nothing.
it turns out i have a stress induced ulcer.
... after being at the docs for 10 hours.
i got to drive home all jacked up on morphine. (there was no one else to drive)
BTW morphine does not make you feel good.
not one of my best days.
    but on the bright side.
    i dont need surgery.

    i must be getting old.
    i have the 3 signs
    dont like loud music
    have an ulcer
and i have a AAA plus card.
a hot rod is whatever i decide it is.

Well, no surgery is a really good thing! Sorry you had to go through such a day, which likely added to the stress that's causing the problems. Need to get that engine reliable so you can go for some long, soothing rides in the high country!!

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Glad you don't need surgery. Hope the ulcer mends. I hate going to the Dr's office or the hospital! (maybe it's because I work at one!

Hey Billy, got to learn to relax a bit!!! Life is far too important to be taken seriously!!!! Sometimes we need a wake up call before we learn to start taking care of ourselves!!!!!!!!!!!

    true
    in 8 months i
    quit my job
    sold my house
    got engaged
    buried my brother
    institutionalized my mom
    moved three times
    totaled a car
cashed in retirement savings to pay for that car
and then got diagnosed with a stress related ulcer.

Sounds like a good stop gap measure, Billy.

Ain't it funny how age catches up with us. No problems until around 50 and then watch out. stress, work, fixing your cars, etc. plays hell with the whole body. Just take it easy for a bit and the ulcer should heal itself. I know because i've been there. Good luck.
Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
