    Well, Robin, here's a little scoop on that craze http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hi-Riser_(automobile) You're right, that craze is kinda crazeeee!! LOL! No worries about scraping a bumper or dragging a muffler off, though....

    like I said..Donks look stooooooopid..I still think the third letter in that word is wrong......An R looks better in there..oooops,,did I say that??
    I seem to remember seeing a video clip,of one of those things on the freeway,and it came close to falling over,every time the guy hoofed it,it pulled a small wheelie,,and came close to wiping out..As I said,,they would never be allowed on our roads,,thankfully..

    Well, I don't necessarily disagree with you, they are downright silly! But I also think they are kinda funny & interesting to see. Like the article says, "cartoonish," which is true. They look like exaggerated HotWheels cars with the larger-than-life rims and wild paint jobs. They add variety to our hobby like rat rods, low-riders, etc and plus they provide a little niche market for those outrageous wheel manufacturers! Those rims cost way more than any of the cars they usually put them on!! Besides, I guess it's a way to draw attention to some of those gawd-awful 80's-90's Chevies & Buicks that are otherwise forgetable.
