Green sponge??? No, no, Bob! That's state of the art high grade acoustical material designed to absorb sound and shocks from those bumpy streets!! It comes in an assortment of bright cheery colors (mostly greens, yellow & blue) designed to make you feel happy about the tunes coming out of your thumping sound system.
And as an added bonus, it give you a place to wipe your hands after devouring that bucket-o-wings when you forgot to ask for extra napkins. The black electrical tape would only mask those extra innovations.....

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
