It's been fun listening to all the media whizzing and moaning about how it's a "regressive tax", a tax disproportionately levied on the poor, and blah blah blah.

I couldn't disagree more, and I haven't bought a lotto ticket in decades (although my bride does). I look at Dave's drag strip dream as an example: how much does a movie ticket at a theatre cost today. And poof! It's over with an a couple hours or less. Depending on when you buy your ticket, a lotto coupon could last for days or exercising your imagination. It's cheap entertainment..................and unlike many forms of taxation, it's voluntary!! Now, if they would only use the money for school funding like they committed in the beginning.................................

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
