About a month ago I crossed off another one from the bucket list today. I got to fly on a B17 Bomber the Aluminum Overcast owned and operated by the EAA. EAA's B-17 - Aluminum Overcast
It was an amazing experience I will always remember. It was loud, drafty, and cold and I loved it!

Sorry about the poor quality of the photos had to use the "small" canon in the plane. My Nikon was too big.

I work at Kirtland AFB here in Albuquerque. We had an open house and airshow featuring the USAF Thunderbirds last month. Over 100,000 people attended.
Quite a few displays to see. Military Vehicles and weapons, model airplanes and lots of static displays. Over 100,000 people was the estimated attendance of all ages.

Biggest plane I ever marshaled in with wing walkers and all was a 747 which standing in front of it did seem huge. The push back was a wide circle too.The rear cargo was reached with the belt loader all the way up.Not trilled with hts so that ride up to there was not fun.I'm ok on the K-loader in inside the plane.Still seemed way up looking out the k-loader.Last edited by 1gary; 11-16-2011 at 05:56 PM.
