Old racing buddy found.
Just found a old freind of mine out here in Vegas.
Back in the day Troy and I had the fast street cars around Vegas.
He was the only guy that beat me on the street and he only got me
by a 1/4 panel. Anyway here is a video of him in his 63 Vette
getting spanked. HE! HE! HE!

He's repainted the car now and just in stalled a bigger motor.
It was like a 583ci. and now it's over 650ci.
I don't know if he's run it yet though, hopefully we will talk some today.

Just be careful if you run across him on the street someday Kurt!!! Me and an old racing buddy got to playing around a bit in cars on the highway....the result for me was $1500.00 in fines and court costs plus no driver's license for a year!!!! But we did establish the fact that red Corvettes are faster then blue Corvettes.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

OK Dave;
HE! HE! HE! I'll just have to play dumb to protect my CDL now.
Besides I know my white 72 Vette won't go 200 MPH in the 1/4.
Atleast not yet!!! HE! HE! HE!

He'd have to spot me a car and a driver.
My body can't take them G's anymore, I'd have a heart atack or die.
I went on the Fast trac in Florida at Disney World and the whole time that thing was exccelerating
I was thinking when the _ _ _ _ is this thing gonna slow down.
Now thats sad, ain't it.

Must be an age thing Kurt. I made a couple tuning passes in the Comet last spring... Shook the tires real hard on one pass, no big deal gone through tire shake lots of times, right??? Well, sort of... I noticed that this time it took quite a bit longer for my vision to come back to a good focus.... I just stayed in the center lane of those 3 lanes that I saw on my half of the track!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I hear ya I wish that was the case.
What was that Clint Eastwood said, A man has got to know his limitations.
The men in my family don't live long for some reason, My dad and all his brothers where dead by 54.
The women for some reason live to a hundred, And yes I am still glad I am a man. HE! HE! HE!

Heck, don't worry about the age deal!!!! We're all kids yet! If I can get some stuff done and sold here soon, hoping to have me a new ride for the dragstrip next summer.. 61 is a good age to stage my comeback as a driver---crew chief and chassis tuner is getting boring, I wanna go fast again!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Now you sound like my buddy Gary Gilbert, though he is only about 40.
Him and his Dad have a shop and all they build is Dragsters for people.
Their shop is in Henderson Nevada, and they have so much work that
they don't have time to work on their own rides. Gary said last night
he's hoping to get all the stuff done in the shop and start working on
his, so he can race next season.

Kurt, I know I've said it before but this time it's for sure----I have two customer cars in the shop to finish, when they're gone it's only gonna be my stuff and the drag racing stuff in there.... Just flat fed up with building cars for others.... Having to deal with the public these days is for someone with a whole different mind-set then mine!!!!!!
People want everything for nothing, free labor, and they want it done yesterday.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
