It’s funny the things we save. Back in the 60’s when I was cleaning up the old shop back home I came across a bucket full of old spark plugs. I spent a couple of hours going thru it and picked out one of each different type.

I’ve displayed them off and on over the years, but during the last move they ended up in an old coffee can on the shelf and pretty much forgotten about until I came across them again a couple of days ago. I decided they would go well with the other old stuff I’m putting in the office so I spent this afternoon building and hanging racks to put them in.

While some of them are automotive plugs a lot are from tractors and stationary engines. The majority of them are 3 piece design which allowed them to be taken apart for cleaning (I understand a big selling point).

About half of them are different styles of Champion and AC but there are a lot of other brands:

Auto lite
Defiance
Miller
Monamobile
Blue Crown
Lightening Reflex
PAF Non Foul
Sure Hit
Tiger
Edison
Wards Riverside

The electrode designs were always interesting to me and over the years I’ve chuckled over the years when someone would “invent” the latest and greatest new electrode design that was either a copy of of these or only a slight variation.
