Dave, our pastor was out here tonight,so we showed him the whole thread,,and he was quite speechless, even after Lynda telling him all about it,and having it on our prayer list..It might have been the pic of those two beautiful little girls..and a proud grandad..Just be sure, that we will continue to pray for you and the whole family for as long as necessary..Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???

Thanks so much Robin, and thank your Pastor for his concern.., I'm still just flat amazed at the response from everyone here on CHR!!!!!! The old saying that it takes the whole community to raise a child holds true for online communities, too!!!!!!
The girls had a much better day yesterday, couple of my friends stopped over and Lisha invited us to blow bubbles with her with a "magic wand" and some soap that Grandma bought for her.... She had fun, but Harvey, Shane, Pepper, and I had a blast chasing the bubbles!!!!!!!!!
The cards and gifts from CHR folks and our other friends are overwhelming to the girls!!!! It's like they've never recieved gifts before--Which leaves me wondering about the things Grandma and I have sent her, but I just ain't going there again!!!!! Nothing but positive thoughts and things with the girls now...... Their physical recovery is coming along very well, but the rest of the healing is going to take some time......
Grandma finally had the time to sit down and read this entire thread, she made it through the first few replies and cried through the rest of them.... Thanks to all for your prayers and continuing support!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Thanks for the uplifting update, Dave, my Wiffy did the same as Gramma yesterday
and wept for an hour at least. When she saw the cast on that baby's arm she just
lost it. You can expect a PM from us shortly and, of course the prayers will continue..

I just read this whole thread, Dave. What a blessing for these girls to have a grandpa like you. Who knows what would have happened had you not been there. My wife and I will keep you all in prayer; and the girls' mom, too. Sounds like she definitely needs the Lord in her life.

Yeah, falcon, thats true..Their mother definitely needs help,,all she can get,in fact..Its just too sad for words..
Oh,well, its gone 8am,will wipe my eyes again...(must have some sort of allergy)....yeah,right...and go do some work..
Dave,,its no probs...We all want to see those two kids lead a normal life,,and will continue to pray for the whole situation..Now our pastor has seen all of this, and the pic,he has a whole new slant on it all..He himself is a grandfather, withseven grandchildren, who he loves dearly..Last edited by lamin8r; 07-19-2011 at 01:09 PM.

Dave, Just getting caught up, so happy to see things are going better for those darling girls. God bless you and your wife, but that's what grandpas and grandmas do. I am praying for all of you including their Mom. Take Care

Have you gotten them into the garage to help you out yet, Dave? With two of them there you should never have to climb out from under a car again to go get that 9/16 wrench you need.
So happy to see things improving daily for you and for them.

I am sitting here w/tears running down my face thinking "My God what is wrong w/those people".
NO CHILD should ever have to worry about that...

The girls are doing great, Pat!! They were just to see their Doctor on Friday, Lexi gained a bit more weight back, and Lisha might be able to get her cast off next week!!! They are really starting to play hard, just about wearing my poor old dog out though--Pepper stays real busy trying to keep up with both of them!!! Then when Pepper takes a nap, the girls go find some blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals to make the "puppy" comfortable!!!!! I think having a pet is a good thing for any kid, but for these two it's almost essential!! All things considered, I'd have to say they are doing very well, but still have a lot of recovering and catching up to do!!!! Thanks to all for your concern, promise to get some current pictures of them soon!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Excellent news Dave and I had a mile wide smile when you mentioned Pepper and I could imagine those two little angels mothering Pepper, oh so cute.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Wow, Dave, i missed this whole mess. I read thru it with tears and my mouth hanging open, and it has a happy ending! Words fail me, i keep replaying that bit about whether she should save some of the burger for tomorrow. The pic with the three of you and the pink cast is such a dose of reality. I know a girl that was abused, the police found her and her sister chained to a picnic bench in the winter, starved and frozen. Her mother said her boyfriend didn't want them in the trailor. She was 14, just skin and bones. Her sister didn't survive. She is far from normal today, because of the malnutrition and speaks of that period in her life as if we were discussing how we played baseball when we were kids. It was just how she grew up. She says she sees her mother from time to time.
Somebody has intervened to end this abuse and seen to it for you to set things right. He made a good choice. My late but most heartfelt prayers, oj, pass my love to the girls please.

Dave, just catching up on the girls progress. I am so happy for you and your family. Hopefully this will be but a blip on their radar screen in a couple of years. Spoil them, spoil them, spoil them. Pepper is probably loving having some children to play with. I know our pooch loves playing with the kids. They are best buds.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
