Happy Father's day! Went up to Clear Lake to help a friend on his newly built addition/house. His wife and kids had to move in last week in the midst of construction, since the place they were renting had the lease up, and as with all of us the money is draining towards the end. His poor wife is now working 12 hour night shifts at the hospital, and has to try to sleep during the day while they work on it. So last week I went for a visit, only to see how much still needed to be done, and to find out they're in- laws arrive tomorrow. I talked with my wife and we volunteered to help unpack, and cleanup, so they'd have a room for Jeff's folks to sleep in. So in 90 degree weather I spent about 4 hours, sorting trash, wood, cardboard, etc. from the construction zone, while my wife cleaned inside. It was one of the best days I've had all year, though I'm sore, tired and sun burnt, I felt like I gave at least one Dad(mine is passed now) a good father's day gift.
