    I would like to read it myself...I reckon thats good that they have found the family,,at last..I guess the diary was forgotten for a while,until the guy remembered it..
    My late father spent a bit of time in Guadalcanal during the war,as well as Fiji,in fact I think he spent the whole time in the Pacific Islands..

    Kewl deal for sure!!! Fantastic it found it's way home after all these years! My Dad was a Navy Corpsman, spent his time in the Pacific in WWII and kept a diary also---unfortunately he wasn't real good about making a lot of entries in it!! He never would talk about this part of his life very much, 'til the last summer he was alive when we spent a great deal of time comparing our war time experiences... The War in the Pacific must have been pure hell!!!!
