I absolutely agree with Roger. Fly it. If you can't get a specialized/sealed container and a direct ship, the engine will be on that ship and on the high seas for up to 60 days and more. Container ships are too big to transit the Panama Canal so they have to either go around either Cape or through the Med then the Suez, with stops enroute. In my work career, I lost cargo in the Atlantic (containers washed overboard) Caribbean (a large transformer went through the bottom of the ship) as well as heavy rust (trans Pacific). With air shipping, 3-7 days including customs clearance. As far as size - well, the Antonov124 is available for a mere pittance of about a half mil. I do have to say - I thoroughly dislike UPS overseas shipping, but that is history from several years back, so there may have been positive changes.
