Nobody know why ???
yep I get mine too
Mine are erratic....some I get, some I don't. Seems to be no consistency.
Well i got 1 notification this week, but thats all, still have problems accessing the site too, seems to be a right balls up to me !!!
I had the same problem.
I had to change setting in the default subsrciptions in my account settings to instant email notification.
Steve,
One thing I found was that the link posted earlier, Club Hot Rod Forums - The Front Page, takes me to a page saying that I don't have permission to access that area, that my access may have been blocked, etc, etc. I can still go up to "Today's Posts", "Forum" or another button, but the initial screen is a warning telling me I'm doing something wrong. What I have pasted into my browser favorites is this url, and it takes me into the home page with no warnings. http://www.clubhotrod.com/forum.php
Maybe saving a new link will help, but I have noticed that I get occasional "dead times" when it seems that the system is just non-responsive, then it pops back after a few minutes telling me that my "..search tool 0.01 seconds.":p:rolleyes:
I've gone over this before, you need to change the bookmark properties on your local computer to the following:
Club Hot Rod Forums - The Front Page
This will default to
Club Hot Rod Forums - The Front Page
which is the new home page web address for CHR. The old page no longer exists, which is why you are having problems seeing it.

Bill,
As I said earlier, when I click the link you provided above I get a "V Bulletin Message" as follows:rspears, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Which one of the two does not work for you?
If you need to, go to the upper left hand corner of your screen, below the CHR logo and click "HOME", when that page loads, bookmark it........That is the new main page URL..........98% just like the original home page.
In that same tool bar, all the way to the right is a button marked "TODAYS POSTS" as well.
Bill S.
Bill,
They both give me the same screen error message as noted. The URL from my screen is "www.clubhotrod.com" for the first one, and the second is "www.clubhotrod.com/content" and both slap my hand with the error. When I click the "Home" symbol, the logo itself, or the "FORUM" button the URL is "www.clubhotrod.com/forum.php", and that is what I have saved into my browser.
I was just telling Steve (roadster32) what has worked for me, suggesting that his link may not be the most up to date.
I've done all that Bill, made no difference, its odd as came into the site last night and it was quick, tried this morning and it took ages to load each page ???
Will do thanks
Bill,
When you say "browser cache" are you referring to the "Temporary Internet Files" folder? If that is the "System Cache" then it's a matter of searching "My Computer" for "Temporary", and deleting the files and folders in that folder, right?
Click start, go to your accessories folder, then your systems tool folder and click the icon marked "disk clean up" (or something along those lines). Hit the start, when the list comes up make sure that all the boxes are checked, then click OK. When it is done, reboot your system and relogin to CHR. Let me know how it goes.
Bill S.
Just a quick follow up to see if that fixed the issues....

Bill,
Thanks for the tip on the "Disc Cleanup" feature. It not only clears the internet cache, but also gets rid of downloads that are not of value. My screen delay issues seem to be much better, if not gone. The other feature in that set of tools is the disc defragmenter which may speed things up a bit, too. I had another problem that came to light on the reboot when my computer went into a Check Disc mode to fix some problems with partial files and bad links. Seems to be better now. Hope Steve's (Roadster32's) problems are resolved, too.
