fantastic day

went to a small local car show today. lots of beautiful cars and great people. the sponsor was our local advanced auto parts. as i was looking at all the cars and talking to their owners i was surprised that i knew some of the right questions to ask. that had to come from you guys here teaching me so much. anyway, the manager of the store asked me to judge the cars. at first i did not want too as i was concerned about making someone there mad. but as i went around to each car and took a good hard look everyone was very happy to answer any question that i had. there were several catergories like best in show, best project in progress, best daily driver, best paint and best interior. each winner won $25.00 gift card and the best in show won a $50.00 gift card. They even let my oldest son help me. at the end many people (even those who did not win) came and thanked me and my son for a great time. For my son and mine troubles we were given all the hot dogs and drinks we could stomach. Then they held a raffle for all the people that donated and my son and i won one of the prizes. we one a 5 gallon advanced auto park bucket with towels, car polish, and car wash soap. the pictures are in order for the winners.

thanks guys. when i was judging i kept thinking to myself " what would the guys on chr be looking for" and went from there. I made sure that all the body panels were true. that all the engine components were clean and in good order. that the interior was factory or matched in some way the exterior and that i could not see and bubbles under the paint. it really was a great day.
