Of course I had a say - "Yes dear"
And like Dave S said, curly hair, cute face (hmmmm, I wonder..........nah, she wouldn't)

We went after the pup yesterday - the breeder lives near the West End of Nowhere!!
This is a picture of her this morning as well as my wife holding her. We haven't come up with our for her yet name but she was named Carmella. The breeder had started clipping her tail fur, but she was told no too late, so the fur has to grow out
She's a cutie! Going to look sweet riding with Dad to the local cruises!
Pepper (my cocker spaniel shop dog) wants to meet her!!! Sez she needs to get out in the shop and roll around in some dirt and dust though!!!!:LOL::LOL:
what a great mothers day for your family. both your wife and your new dog are beautifull.
Well, Dave, my first inclination is to be a little ornery and say that doesn't look much like a '32 Ford roadster kinda dog! Perhaps, a 63 Lincoln convertible would suit her better....but as long as you don't trim her up in pom-poms & bows, I guess she'll be alright! LOL! Where's the English bulldog when you need it?? LOL! Just teasin"!
I'm here to report that the pup is, after a day of being fairly quiet - isn't any longer. Of course, she has big time bonded with my wife, but that's what I wanted. Now she is racing around the two rooms she is allowed in and has toys scattered all over. Best part my wife - happier then I've seen her in a long time. As far as rolling around in the dust with your cocker spaniel, Dave S., gonna have to wait a couple months til she gets a bit bigger. She's only just 4mos old (and house trained:eek::D)
Thanks all for the good words - and no Lincolns, she'll be 'conditioned' for the roadster:D
What a cutie pie, Dave, and the dog is cute also !
Me thinks you have picked a winner - - - good luck with the pouch.
Now remember Dave you must wear the proper attire when walking your new buddy ......joe

OK, Dave, let's have an update on the Poochie !
Dogs are cute I have a yellow lab that won't let you drive out the drive way with out him... In all honesty when I read your title I thought you were getting another car.... OH wait is that puppy leverage for somthing in the future???:HMMM::HMMM::eek: House trained how about car trained
Well, that new addition has us about wrapped up tight and in less then a week. She and my wife have bonded 100 % . I'm still at the 75% mark but getting much better. We have chew toys all over the two rooms she is allowed in and, Mello - her favorites - a couple that look like dead squirrels and if you recall last spring from the other forum, how I really like those tree rodents. She is a lap pup - either of us and she is set til she is let down. Put her in the crate at 11:00PM and she sleeps until 6:30 or so - and dry. If she needs to do her thing, she stands by the door. She sits up for a treat or her collar and leash to go out. It's a new experience for me and a renewal for my wife. Oh and her new name - Callie (followed by a bunch of other gobbledygook about the 'dam' and 'sire')
Pictures of the "baby" will follow (of course:D)
Charlie - I love Labs and in my neighborhood, there must be over a dozen. Not sure about the car yet - it's an open car, but time will tell
hahaha, yes I do remember the Rodent Ruckus from last year.
She sounds like a homey honey. F.Y I. my cat's name is Callie !
Just doesn't seem that long ago that Pepper was a little black ball of fur, now he's gonna be 6 and hasn't changed much from his puppy days! Still loves to sit in laps, thought at 30+ pounds it'd be nice if he gave you some warning before he joined you! Loves everybody, I swear most of the guys that stop by the shop just come to see the dog!
They'll work their way into your heart quicker then anything else and always be your very best friend! Dave, hope you and your wife have as much fun and good times with your new pooch as I've had and continue to have with mine. Heck, I wish my other 2 kids were as trouble free!!!!
I got admit that as much as I love my pooch, the fact that he wants to sleep in his crate at night and cries if one of us stays up to late because he won't go down until everyone is down for the night is great. Having a trained dog makes the experience so much more enjoyable for the entire family.
