Don,
I used "Chore Girl" Scrubbers first, and they simply did not quiet things down much at all. Second was fiberglass packing from the motorcycle shop, about 3/4" thick but soft and fluffy with a skin of sorts on both sides. I wrapped that as tight as I could, wired it in place with SS safety wire, and lit it off. It was a little quieter, but within hours I had little fluffy pieces of FG blowing out the pipes, and it was getting progressively louder. Took the baffles out the next day and I had four SS wires dangling on the pipes
That's when I called CC, and they told me they have good luck with their SS packing and the FG wrap. I noticed that they now offer a baffle that has one extra center plate, four total, and they say that one drops the sound as much as ten decibles, which is a ton since it's a logarithmic relationship - each point doubles the sound heard. I may give them a try one day.
Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Something similar has probably happened to anyone on here with a car at a "show". We had a street show in downtown Henderson yesterday. Along with the usual conversations, at one point a young East Indian girl (16-18ish) asked if she could sit behind the wheel of the '30 roadster so her daddy could take some pictures. What the heck!! Her mother thanked me profusely, and so did dad. She was grinning from ear to ear. I can't imagine she knew much about traditional hot rods, but for whatever reason this one rang her bell. Most girls her age there were much more interested in the "Smokey Bandit" Trans Am parked next to us. Just another of those little fun moments with cars.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Well, you CAN be, Steve. When are you and Sue coming Stateside again? Hope it is this Spring.
Bad news though. That English Pub we took you to has gone out of business. Go figure!

No cruizin' up here today either, Don.....Weather man said it might make it up to 50 someday this week though! Almost a good thing I don't have anything ready, I'd really be going bonkers if I had a done one sitting inside ready to go....But next time you're out could you put the camera on the dash so I can at least remember what a roadster ride in nice weather feels like??????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

IC2, sorry to hear Spring hasn't sprung yet for you guys up north. Crazy year weather wise, some people still getting snow and it is almost Easter!
Green34, I wish I had taken more pictures, but I am horrible about taking pictures at shows. I get so wrapped up talking to people and looking at cars that I forget to do it.
Dave, just for you I'll do a video. I might even head to the beach and look up the chick with the green bikini for a repeat photoshoot.
Thanks, 35. Yep, he did make it, just by the skin of our teeth. Got it done at 3AM Thursday night, drove up on Friday. Check out the pictures below.
