    she will lick a hole in a snake bite or other small wound. tuff call. glad i dont have to make it. is there a rescue place around ? sometimes they will come get them .

    No rescue places around here - not even an SPCA close by. I did manage to get a pretty decent picture of her under the porch and it sure looks like she has been licking the wound. I am amazed that there isn't any more blood on the white part of her leg so maybe it isn't as vital as I was afraid of. If she would only let me doctor her, I think that yeller spray stuff that we always used on horses and livestock might do the trick.

    ps: I was thinking like shine. Sneak some meds into a treat. The vet should at least be able to fix you up with some pills.
