Yesterday morning I received special recognition for being the fastest driver on Randol Mill Road.
It has been said that "with age comes wisdom".
In my case that is obviously not true..

It was a big dude on a two wheeler that got me, Akrateffil. He didn't offer me a ride into town, but really, that didn't hurt my feelings.
Mello, he was evidently honored to meet me because he did ask for my autograph.
I can't say exactly what the record for that strip of road is, Roger, but I'd bet that my son set it when he was a teenager.
And Barb ..... I might as well try to make it amusing. Its one of those cases where you laugh to keep from crying!

It seems that many if not most of us have at one time in our waywardness, youthful or otherwise, been greeted by some dude, usually driving a Ford or Dodge four door with special lighting and special sound effects, plus wearing a unique costume and fancy head gear. Mine was usually due to making too many brash sounds with the car exhaust though once he did his celebration in my driveway.
You will now just go on paying and paying and paying for all that fun:eek:
Hey Jim,nice one,you didn't mention if you were driving your everyday ride or otherwise. My last speeding ticket was when I was out picking up parts for the T and driving my BMW, I was doing over 80 mph on a 60mph limit area but I saw the cop first and he said I slowed up so quick before he could fix my speed on the radar he gave me a ticket for 65 mph which was the smallest fine. I seem to keep within the speed limits when driving the bucket.
I know that all to well, I found out that Kentucky's finest don't approve of doing 95mph in a 65 zone. But he did ask me why I pulled over, told him "Officer I seen you coming up on me fast & then looked at my speedo. I figured since there was NO ONE else on the road & I was going as fast as I was that you wanted to visit w/me." Well after chewing my ass out for going that fast, he handed me my ticket, told me to drive safely & I was on my way. I was lucky though because I found out later that is some states I would have gone right to jail because 30mph over in those states is a "FELONY" :eek: :whacked: ..joe
Lucky you weren't in California. You would have to sell your car to afford the ticket!
A J walking ticket here is only $194.00- ask me how I know. ;)
Actually I was REAL lucky. The state cop told me to write the judge & explain to her what had happened. After I had wrote the judge a note telling her that I had just gotten off the phone w/my son who called to say he had just landed in IRAQ & that my mother was in intensive care in the hospital(both true). Along w/saying I had no problem paying the fine because I was guilty but it was also an 8hrs one way to court. Not only did she say I NOT have to show up for court, but also reduced my fine from $395 to $295 &&&&&& I had 3 months to pay it. The icing on the cake was she also said if there was any hardship she could & would extend the amount of time I had to pay.Quote:

Once apon a time back in 63 in chicago. I was sitting at a light waiting for the green. The car next to me was inching up then inched up again. Guess what I did.. Yep I beat that car out of the hole and about half a block then all these lights came on...NEVER EVER race an unmarked cop car:eek::eek:.The day went down hill quick after that:CRY:.
