Why do threads get closed out???

Steel Warrior posted a heads up to us to be careful about dealing with a vendor, based on his personal experience. The thread was closed out.....why? I would think this info is very important and good of him to share with us, otherwise others on here could suffer the same fate.

Generally, where there is smoke there is fire, and how often have we seen someone say they had a bad experience and before long that company either goes under or sticks others. Just curious why it was closed so that if anyone had any comments to make, either positive or negative, were prevented from doing so.

Not every subject on this forum can be "look what I am building." We need to know people's good AND bad experiences too.

Hey .... I'll agree with Don on this one.

Every board that I'm a member, in good stading, supports the members therefore lets them post up issues they have with other members or vendors members might come in contact with.

I'd say that where there is smoke you will usually find fire. Large amounts.

It's kinda good to know that in today's mamby pamby, ecko friendly, plant a tree & save a whale society that we can let others know that a vendor is a shitbag & stole someone's money - flat out!

Thanks for the heads up on the vendor out of KY.

I'm in Georgia & am building a hot rod so THEY will NOT be used based on the info given & the closed thread.

i feel the same way Don, on another site there was a member/vendor, he got into hard times and several buyers got stiffed on parts or moneys were on they way back to the buyer ( never sent ), or many other excuses the vendor has made trying to stay on the site, he is still banned from the site until things are resolved with other members and the word is still out not to get involved with him for their own good, this has been going on now for a year and a half.

It's where he posted it, if you notice, certain sub forums have all of their threads locked. Why, simple, because those are forums not meant to handle discussions, but are more for FYI or advertisement type posts.
