We have a 30% chance of snow Saturday night and that usually means that we'll get all 30% and then some.
Where did it go?:( It does not even feel like we had one.:(
i dont know where you folks live but im glad im in texas rite now.
We go through this every year and I just can't seem to scare up any "sorry for your snow" feelings for you fellows. There are buses, planes and trains headed for Arizona and other sunny climes several times a day.

That normally wher we have our Cool Sept days car show....in Tahoe Calif,
I love this stuff:LOL:
I guess I'd best hook the big snow blower to my tractor if that white stuff is what will be showing up on my driveway. Might also see if that $69 Harbor Freight motor on my little snow blower will start one more season as well:eek::LOL::LOL:
All you need to do is move 40 miles south,(other end of Cayuga) Lake effect has not shown up here yet.(I said Yet), Wev'e got snow but only enuff to say so
Yes it's fuuny about lake effect. I live in Auburn and Owasco lake is a small finger lakes of this area. We usually don't get the lake effects from the large great lakes like we've had this year, but all it takes is a few miles north or east and as 53 Willy says hardly any snow. Once I get my camera charged back up , I'll take a few pictures. Yes it's still snowing and now there calling for a north eastern which will be snow, rain and freezing rain. Great, just what the hell we need.:CRY::(:(. Tech, My wife and I were going to move to Wyomiing, but my COPD is not getting any better and my Doctor says to move to your area. Might just be a neighbor some day.
heck I feel for you guys the other 8 months of the year (the HEAT)
but not really feelin it right now here in Iowa
on the bright side I took out my 350Z for a spin in the snow
before I garaged it for the winter. if only I could have figured out how
to turn the traction control off...
yea, we got a few inches in the high elevation where I live.. I did clear the driveway with the snowblower just to make sure it still ran ok... but I do have a spare, and a parts machine ( 2 '71 Gilsons 1 is parts if I don't fix the mag soon, other runs 'ok' , and a '72 Gilson as the main machine ) so even if it didn't get it running, I'd still be ok...
My back yard picnic table.
Just fine for CHILLING OUT this Christmas....:D
Just another Day.
Yeah, Tech, my first trip to AZ was in mid-August, doing a site inspection for a power plant in Casa Grande. I think it was 115F that day, and there was no shade!! I thought to myself, "Why would anyone live in this God forsaken place!!" Went back in January and noted the difference.
Under Florida Law, Ordinance 38-7773- 13, Subsection LMAO, Line 7, we are required to at least once a year giggle and snicker, while acting like we are also suffering from the cold down here. So, here goes: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...........HA!! :D There, I've fullfilled my obligation for the year.
I watched on TV last night some of that 4 foot white stuff you guys are getting......WOW. I remember those days only too well, tire chains, lock deicer, ice scrapers, thermal underwear, and BOOTS. Never want to see any of that ever again in my life.
We are actually getting the weather right now that we waited all Summer to get...........it was brutally hot this Summer and we are finally able to do some work without sweating our butts off. It will be about 70 today, so it will be nice to work at the shop.
BTW, don't any of you Northern guys get any ideas about moving down here. The roads are too crowded already with out of State plates. :D
Don
It is a little frisky here in the wilds of Upstate New York. I guess I'll need a thin sweater when I go out since it's about 7*F (or -14*C for the rest of the world) Saranac Lake, NY is still warm at -3*F (-19C). We did have a 1/4" snow flurry the other evening but a half mile away, nothing at all. The Western part of the state - it looks like a bit more, but only a heavier flurry with winter still a couple of weeks away.:LOL:
It's mind over matter, or perception
Arizona hear I come. Right away for this old Bum. Snow will never bother me again, because of that Great Loking Sun..:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Yeah, but it's a dry heat. :LOL::eek::cool:
Personally, I'm with Tech; I'll take our 110 summers over that old white stuff anytime. When it does snow here in the great southwest deserts, I go hibernating. ;):3dSMILE:
I'm really not normally happy where I live at the present time in Upstate NY, but after surfing by the Weather Channel, today I am. While much of the Northern half of the US is cold and covered with more snow then they thought possible, it's about 45* and raining - hard. I guess tomorrow, I'll set up the big snow blower on the tractor and see if the little one will run one more year. I usually do this about Thanksgiving, but we haven't had the bad weather - yet:whacked: WE WILL GET OURS!!!!!
