Jack - great choice of days to wave our nation's colors.
I'm replacing our 24/7 flag today as it got too tattered and is going to a local VFW for correct destruction.
Thanks for raising it!
We have 12 flags of all sizes on our porch all year round, and we put more out for special days, like today!
We love our country, we just hate whats happing to it!
Love it the way it is (was), Or leave it!!!
Pat
Dang, this sciatic nerve pain and vicodin has my brain muddled. I plumb forgot about V-Day being today. Gonna limp out to the front gate and hang old glory right now!
Thanks for the reminder, H.R.
"God Bless our Veterans and our Troops"
Some of you may have seen this, but I suggest everyone give it a watch. It epitomizes what Veterans Day is all about.
It's especially good for the younger kids to watch.
A real Hero.

God bless all the veterans.
Thanks to all the vets, enjoy your day.
thanks to all the vet's and current solders that keep us safe and free
Amen to all of your comments!
Don't worry too much about this country... just keep voting! We'll get it straightened out. Then those vets will be really proud, and the ones who didn't come home can rest better.
God bless 'em all.
As I grow more and more skeptical about our elected officials and their inability to govern this great nation, I also grow more sentimental about those who are or who have served in the armed forces. My wife and I were in an airport recently when a plane load of National Guard men and women arrived. A spontaneous applause erupted and these young men and women received warm embraces from total strangers and real heartfelt thanks for service to our country and their willingness to stand up and fight for those less fortunate than we Americans are from day one. It was quite a sight – men and women in uniform with M-16’s and packs dressed in desert cameo scooping up small children and spouses and rejoicing to be back in the USA.
I salute my fellow veterans today (and everyday) for all you do, what you are, and the commitment that each and every one has made to protect the freedom and liberty we enjoy in the greatest nation on earth!
God Bless You All
Glenn
Thanks for the ones serving and for those that have served.

I always try to fly "OLD Glory" along with some smaller ones on my garage side when Veterans Day and other special days come up.
I only hope others are in prayer for our Military and leaders , that they make the right decisions for the future of our good old USA.
Our country is not perfect but better than most and hopefully will survive the downfall we are experiencing.
Celebrated the day by driving the Studebaker in the local Veteran's day parade. My granddaughter and her friend rode with me and practiced their princess parade waves. Was really an excellent turnout with military members from many generations in and watching the parade. Here are a few pictures I snapped and one my daughter took as we were driving by.

I'd like to toss in my thanks to all vets too. We had a nice local parade today with some cool ww2 planes flying over.
