It looks like cooler weather has finally arrived, at least here in So. Florida. :D The last week has been perfect. This Summer was brutal, but last night it was actually a little chilly at the shop around midnight, and even the days are only in the high 80's. Sure is nice.
Is is cooling off where you all live too?

October hit and it instantly turned to Fall here. I was working quick on someone's car here at work in the parking lot trying to fix her starter and I was cold :confused:
It was like that here in So'eastern Mass. This week I actually had to put on a sweatshirt! It was like a switch got flipped! Been hazy hot & humid for months and now a week later - it's in the 70's!Quote:

Colours here in Ontario are reaching their peak.....just beautiful. Weather has been cool, mid 60's but lots of rain. Today and for the next week is predicted to be sunny so we should be able to enjoy the fall scenery.Quote:

Arizona too! Our monsoon season ended. Daytime temps fell about 10-15 degrees, to the 80s, and night temps in the 50s. Feels great!
Here in BFB, Texas it has been drop dead gorgeous Low 40's in the morning and Low 80's in the afternoon- - - DRY AND COOL and I am soaking up all this nice weather. Even worked on the '55 a couple of days.:cool:
We know that fall has arrived when the acorns drop - and this year, millions and they are huge. Until the storm this past week, I haven't been able to go into the yard and even today raking still got hit once. Between them and the wooly bear caterpillars and their short brown large black coats are telling me that thiw is gonna be a long hard winter.

Sacramento is mid 80`s low is high 50`s slight dampness in the evening, just right for a quarter mile run....fall is in the air.

I live in southern Georgia, currently working at the head of passes (literally in the Gulf of Mexico on the Mississippi River).
My engine room was 135 all summer.... it finally cooled off to 124 degrees.
outside is 74 degrees right now, I gotta wear a jacket.

Dan and I left at 5 AM yesterday to drive my 23 to Tampa and we had long sleeve shirts on. After a while Dan asked me to stop so he could buy a sweatshirt, he was shaking from the cold. :3dSMILE: So we did, and he comes out with this hooded, fleece lined jacket and gloves. What a change from just a week or so ago.

Acclimatization! I still remember the first time we visited Florida and took the kids to Disney. It was in the 50's and we were wearing short sleeves and thoroughly enjoying the warm weather (-20's when we left home.) The locals were bundled up in ski jackets with the hoods up.:LOL:Quote:
