Waiting to be a Grand Papa.
I am still waiting on my little girl Crystal to have her baby!!!
They started to induce labor at 8 pm yesterday Las Vegas time,
11pm Florida time and 5pm Hawaii time.
The good thing is she is in one of the Hospitals that my little brother Ray runs, and he has been checking in on her from time to time for me.
Wow Kurt, bet you both are on pins and needles. Please let us know when your new Grandbaby arrives. :):) We wish Mom and baby the best.

Pink? Blue? Who cares? Whatever kind you get, the kid will be a source of much pride and enjoyment to everybody.
Our daughter is now 32 and long time married, but no kids. Whether that's her choice or his choice or God's choice, I can't say, but that's okay because our son (30) has provided us with a now nearly four-years-old grandson, and he's the kid everybody wants ....... more fun than the law allows! In addition to that, he married a girl who brought a four year old daughter into the family. Very pretty, very bright, and she fills the gap nicely.
We're all happy for you, Kurt. Keep your camera oiled up and ready to go because we will be bugging you for some pictures!

Congrats, Kurt, I love my Sons and it was a greaat moment when they wre born but one of the greatest moments in my life was when I held my first born Grandaughter who, BTW is graduating from H.S. this year. Time does fly.
Good Luck to your Crystal, may she have an easy delivery and all is well.

Congratulations Kurt. You will love her/him to absolute distraction. I'm holding good thoughts for Mommy, Baby, Daddy, and all of the "old" folks - that would be us Grands. Please let us know the news.
Congrats Kurt. I myself just became a grandpaw this year also. It is great to have a little guy around again.
Kateliinn Fukata was born a little while ago 5 pounds 6 oz. by way of C section.

Congrats to you and your family Kurt..Its something that I will never experience,as I never had kids...My first wife didnt want them,so after several years,she took me to the vet,and 12 months later,packed her bags and departed..Lynda and I have been married eleven years,and we are in our 50s,so we get to enjoy other peoples kids/grandkids...Enjoy, mate..and we still want pix...:D:DQuote:

When someone one mentions getting spoiled, don't be fooled into thinking that it's only the grandbaby - - - - - - you very well may become the most spoiled and rotten Grandpa in your family so ENJOY IT :p

Congratulations, Kurt! Everybody here is happy for you.
A word of caution though: Those things (grand kids) can get grandpas by the tail. From that time on they can (and will) make a man proud, happy, cranky, mad, tired, joyful, and maybe a hundred other states of mind, and do so ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

Thanks Guys; Everyone is doing good and are recovering.
She was in labor about two days before they did a C section.
It's probably best they live in Hawaii or they would not be able to live with that child.
Of course Dustin's Mom and Dad are over there so Katelyn will still be spoiled rotten.
I think it will be funny listening to my daughter trying to use my old sayings on her daughter. Now she will realize just why we use them on children. HE! HE! HE!
You know things like, wash your hand, don't put that in your mouth. don't play with your food, wipe your feet, brush your teeth comb your hair, If your friend jumped off a bridge.
apples to oranges. ECT>ECT>ECT> HE! HE! HE! lots of fun on the way.
don't forget "clean underwear" in case you are in an accident :o
HE! HE! HE! I almost forgot about that one Mello; But I know there is a few hundred that I have forgotten. If you guys help me out with some I'll send them to my daughter to help her out in raising a good kid. If that is still possible in public today.

An old wildcatter I used to have breakfast with once in a while when we lived in Bakersfield, when I told him about our new Granddaughter, showed him her first picture, and introduced my son to him, said: "Yee-Haw, boys, you'all in trouble, now!" So, I'm copying him, to you. She'll have you so wrapped around her little finger. :D

At first I was thinking a grand - what? Parent, Piano, M1 Garand? :LOL:
At least my first thought was right! I still remember when I told my Mother in-law the wife was pregnant. She was a nurse and I told her we just got back from the doctors and she wasn't feeling well and he put her on a medication I didn't know what it was and spelled it for her P-R-E-N-A-T-A-L - Z and she said "That's a vitamin for pregn..." :eek:
With the last child, we found out in the beginning of December and we wrapped up some baby toys and onesies and had her open it on Christmas morning while on the phone with the other Grandma. :3dSMILE: Almost two simultaneous heart attacks!
Beautiful little GrandDaughter, Kurt. Bet it kills you to be so far away from her and your Daughters family right now. When are you going to get to hold her for the first time?

I can't go there because I have to get my Infusions
at the VA. Probably about a year though.
They are more fun when they are old enough to tease
anyway. HE! HE! HE! I can already see her running to her Mom saying GrandPapa is teasing me Mommy.

Kurt just saw the link and photos. Congrats again. Cute healthy baby. I noticed they put the baby lojak on her arm. At our hospital they switched from the leg to the belly button/cord clamp. I think I like the arm better! Very cute girl. Hope you get to see her before a year passes!
