While out walking the dogs came across this model for sale. Guy wanted 20 bucks, I gave him 10. It is all intact in plastic bags with instructions. On closer inspection the frame assembly is just partialy assembled, but way cool metal model. Box is in great shape. Saw a similar one on ebay for 39.99

yep have some of them hubleys are the older ones i built many of them when i was a kid then gabriel i think took over the hubbley line i have that same model new in the box too .thats a neat fined i did the big SJ duesenberg when i was 9 after some time i did get good with a file
Pat the best thing was it came with a small screw driver set and a little file!
I think I'll make it and use my detail sprayer to paint the separate parts. If it was whole unbuilt, I'd either leave it be, or sell it, but since it's been started the resale value goes down, so might as well have some fun building it. Then I can say I built an original metal body 32 coupe!:LOL::D
Love models anyway! The duesenberg looks cool too(it's on the side of the box.
yep i have two 32s still in the box one new and one started on . i have the 1930 packard still in a box . when i was a kid i had all of them . still find them at yard sales . the SJ had a worm gear steering box and wheels would turn i still rememeber filing that worm gear for the steering boxQuote:

don its a chevy :HMMM: here the two i have not showing off but if you look at your box you will see less color in the print of the box and you can see both boxs look the same . gabriel was the last to make them not sure if you can get them any more. i thinking yours is much older then the ones i have in .wow i am way off to.. i see you have a hard top ? you know i have never had one that one may be hard to find$$$$$ ?Quote:

Thanks. Pat this is a hard top, but funny the top is plastic, but the rest of the body is metal. I guess you could run it as a roadster too! The picture I posted was off the web, but identical to mine, except for a white circular sticker with 20 on it for a price tag. Couldn't believe the box was in such good shape. Also, after reader the instructions last night it was very cool to see it assembles mostly with little screws, only using glue for the plastic detail pieces. The guy also had a Dodge Ram Van model. (No idea why, as it didn't fit his collection of other stuff early 30's. He also had a box of miscellaneous tail light lens, and a 50's style inside control arm spot light, which was a mirror on the back side and light in front.
yep the ford vicky i have did have a plastic roof . over the years some of my steel models did get moved banged around the plastic part s have been lost .most all parts that are plastic are on a post some are not and the testors cement would not hold same with the testors brush paint .if i build or rebuild any of my old stuff .it will be a etch prime and epoxy glued. the first thing on the chevy is the side vents fall out i reglued them more then one time . i just did not know about epoxy glueQuote:
