New project
Well right now I'm just gathering parts. I probably won't do much more than that till I finish the wife 57 wagon. Which is realy getting close. The project is a 73 Nova hatchback I got it in trade for another car I had. It came with no drive train, and in need of some body work. Rockers quarters door bottoms tail light area. I just got the drive train yesterday its a 454 BBC with 400 trans. I know nothing about the unit other than its heavy. I know the car will need all new suspension to handel it and I just might get a little crazy with that much power. It should be a fun build and a fun car to drive.

Charlie, I've always liked that body style. It would make a nice street/bracket drag car and with that BBC it would run well and not take a whole lot to turn respectable times. The body looks very solid. Keep us posted as you build it. :)

Charles, make sure you put some SS 396 badges on it when you make the debut. That way the Nova "experts" can all stand around and bitch about how it's not really an SS 396............................hey, we all need a little entertainment now and then!:3dSMILE:

I like your style Bob I do get a kick out of lets say Upseting the purests from time to time. I may have to look for those badges at the swapmeets. Don the body is not real rough but dose need some attention. I didn't even know what engine it was till after I pulled it. Well I knew it was a bbc but had no idea which one. The block is a 90/91 4 bolt main the heads are 74. Haven't pulled the heads yet to see whats in there. But hay for $250. how can I go wrong. I had a 350 already for it BUT!!!!:) Catch you guys later

Make it a sleeper! :3dSMILE:
My cousin got a old Nova similar to that, that had been sitting in his Great Aunts garage a few years ago. He used it for a daily commuter, but it just about killed me because it only had 60k on the original engine!
I got to drive it to his house after she passed away. The thing drove pretty good for a car that sat for 8 years untouched! I like the orange and even better the picture Hoss posted! Auntie's was GM mint green.

Nice project, I have always liked them also. Look forward to seeing it come along.
