I'm going to try to put a fuel pump on the Merc. I had a gas can (plastic) sitting on a platform high enough so the gas could flow to the fuel pump with a temporary line. I cranked long enough that if the pump was working it should have got gas to the carburetor. It was dry, I gave it a shot of starting fluid and it fired up just long enough to burn the fluid. The car has a later 302 I'm hoping by taking the pump to the Auto Store they can give me the right one. Other then that I'll just be sweating like crazy in the heat and humidity. So for those who have nothing to work on enjoy the weekend.
