Great change from a car parts storage spot - I did figure out that growing corn is another space waster when you can plant lots more 'maters 'n' peppers 'n' peas 'n' beans:LOL::LOL::LOL:
Mmmm! I smell green tamater pie in the offing. It's amazing what you can do with a bit of dirt.
Shuck and Jive time.
Have you got the cold ones in the chiller??? the guys and girls are coming around for sweeeet corn and a barbie. Bob is bringing the fresh vension steaks, I will bring the oysters, someone from Montana can bring the beef steaks, heck sounds like we have a backyard party happening. Chopped up peppers and tomatoes into some sort of salad, letz all party.**)**)**)
Boy,ya gunna have to run fast if ya taking Bluff oysters up there...:D.
Joe,mate..When we get enough beans together to fly up there,we will be covering a whole lot of that great country,,in fact,I have a friend,[or had,] up in Chicago, some where..Murray Thomas, used to work for Rod Millen, then went up there and started his own business,I am told..Thomas Auto Development,[I think]..Hey,havent seen or heard from him in nearly 17 years..
and now back to our regularly scheduled program.....
excuse me it is late & I didn't read the reply correct...lol
it's either that or the drugs & alcohol I'm on...
can't tell you where you buddy Murray might be, BUT if you Google "Rod Millen" you find he's been a busy guy. Hell he may even know where your buddy Murray might be. But I would also do a FaceBook search. You'd be surprise you might & can find on there. I found a bunch of neighborhood/grade school friends I hadn't seen in almost 40yrs and bunch of us all got together shorty there after.....joe
Hey,Joe,thanks for that..Have been meaning to hunt him down for a while now,,will have a go at finding him,and ,yes, best idea to start in California at Rods shop..Yeah,Facebooks a good idea.He might be on there,or maybe one of his sons..
Your garden looks good,Joe. With the way things are at the moment I might have to do the same thing,,,if we can save some dollars by growing our own instead of buying,,,,well, gotta be good for the pocket..
Well so far I have picked about 50 or so tomato's & have tons still on the vine.
Just picked my first 4 ears of corn today(click next to see rest of pics) & should have at least 6-8 more w/in the week or so. Got some green peppers just about ready to pick & surprisingly some of the peppers mark "Bell Peppers" are really either really skinny bell peppers or they're Jalapeño Peppers http://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/...t/icon_eek.gif  :whacked: .
Not to damn bad for a place that was a place to hide junk. Best part is the our family & neighbors are enjoying in the over abundance of tomato's that we have. Because there is no way Denise could eat them all, cause I don't eat them unless they are in soup or ketsup.....joe
Good on you mate ,Joe, right neighbourly of you sharing that homegrown produce with the Neighbours. Boy I bet that homegrown corn tasted the best with butter ,salt and pepper dripping from it. Man let me wipe your chin for you.:LOL::LOL:
