Hmmmm, interesting concept.......too much posting?
Of the "active" people here today I think Larry M, Bill (Mr. Mustang) and I are the only one's who've been here since day one or two of the forum. A couple more of the earliest folks pop in at odd/infrequent increments. My appologies to anyone I've forgotten/missed.
Back when we were trying to get this thing off the ground the few had to create posts to spark some interest and get participation. Over time people would walk through the door, some stayed, many didn't. More and more momentum built as folks came and went, posting the while. If I remember correctly it took almost 3 years for the first person to exceed 1000 posts, but it was about that time that sufficient membership had accrued and the ball has kept rolling since. Problems? Yeah a few. Sadly, to me anyway, somewhere along the way we've lost about the first 2 1/2 years of posts and pictures from another couple years after that. Don't know if that's results of several server failures, or the need to save bandwidth, but some interesting site history is lost. So, post away, keep building.
As for post count, the total number reflects both thread starts and posts to others (although, again, some of the earliest posters have lost some number count as well). If you go to your profile page (just click on you screen name for dropdown) in the upper right are "mini statistics", within that box are "show all statistics". When you click that another screen will open that breaks out the ones you've started and the ones you've responded to (with the exception of the one's lost to history if you've been around long enough).Last edited by Bob Parmenter; 06-30-2010 at 12:32 PM.
