    www.Mortec.com??.

     



    Mortec.com was a great ref site for chevy engine casting numbers.Anyone know what happened to it.Lately it has been down with a msg the site is experiencing difficulties.

    I saw that too and just figured they may be redoing the site, but maybe it is that it is going away. I hope not, it has been a wealth of info for Chevy related questions for a long time.

    I have a message from their host (hostgator.com), "The gator268 server is up and running. According to the whois information for mortec.com, it appears to be pointed to that server."

    Their IP address does not, however, respond to a ping. My insides tell me that they (mortec) are either going through a major update of their server or they have crashed really hard and are attempting to rebuild.

    Hope thy come back online as I too appreciate the wealth of knowledge stored on their site!

    Maybe their sysop belongs to Club Hot Rod and will respond to this post??
