Well Greg, it actually SUCKS big time.
More rain so far since we've been back than I have seen in the past 4 months down south but what the heck, its home..... Its really hard to beat the weather and activities we had in Yuma, even hit a few car shows there.

Greg,
I'm for it of course and it sounds like Larry is too. Let's see how many others chime in.

I hear ya Larry... even being a Washington native myself I sometimes can't get past the rain!!!
My wife and I have been looking at a place in Surprise, AZ at a place called Sun Village which is a very nice 55 and better community. We really like it down there and we have family and friends there as well so we'll see. I'm already real estate poor up here with 3 places so I dunno if I wanna go with 4 but sometimes you just need to get outta the rain!
All I know is even with all the rain, when it's nice, sunny and warm here there's no place more beautiful!
BTW... thanks for posting the pic's with the sunshine! That helped a little!

Well.........if pictures do it for ya (especially if cars do more for you than shuffleboard[sorry Larry]
)......here's the bride and I in the middle of April, a nice little Cars and Coffee gathering on a Saturday morning. As the palm trees in the background might imply, we're NOT in Washington.

Bob, that's sweet. Didn't spend much time with shuffleboard tho but sure did in the pool.
Hey, sorry we couldn't hook up in Vegas, again!! Was only there a short time because of our extended time spent down in Lake Havasu. I had to be back in Orange County, Ca. then catch up with my sister and her hubby before they took off for vacation.
We did go to the huge Midnight At The Oasis cruise and car show, great time there but if ya can believe it,,,,, the thing got RAINED OUT,,, I repeat,,,, RAINED OUT on Sunday!!
But, this sounds like a cool idea for all of us here in soggy ol' Wa. to get together When ya coming back here?

Thought I would revive this
With some more Deer pics. Took these today, 1st one from my back yard, rest from my neighbors yard. Was walking from the shop to the house and thought I saw something in the neighbors yard. Sure enough so I continue to the house and grab the camera. Came back out and the deer had moved but happened to get a shop from my yard, didn't know if I would get any more. Eased into the neighbors yard and found there were two. One had a nice 3 point rack, the other was just barely a 3 point. Either one by this fall would go good in the freezer.

That is so cool Jack, thanks for sharing your backyard pets with us. I enjoy a nice venison steak but I don't think I could shoot one of those friendly creatures for the freezer.

Those are in deed great pictures Jack! It is wonderful to be able to see the wildlife up close in our yards like that! We get shots like this down at our lake place in Mossyrock all the time and have eagles that live in the trees at our place that we throw squawfish to... it is awesome!
BTW, I agree with Whip as I no longer would be able to shoot these animals either. I used to be an avid hunter when I needed the food to survive. I am not at all against it, I just can't bring myself to hunt anymore. Greg

Whiplash and Greg,
Thanks for the comments. I still hunt but at 67 am slowing down a bit. I hunt walk in (or bike in) only, helps in my war against the bulge, but if I had to hunt to eat we would starve to death. Better hunter than getter.
Took a couple of pics of the wall behind where I am now typing. Greg, the Elk was shot in the Winston Creek area not far from Mayfield Lake, the bear was shot 5-6 miles from my house, not a huge bear as bears go but the skin measured 6'1" from nose to tail, 190 to 200 lbs. I used to hunt in rain snow or sun, I am now mostly fair weather hunter. As soon as the rain stops around here I will start my summer scouting.
Jack.
