My wife cleaning out a closet found these . Rare muffler hangers like these have all but disappeared from the face of the earth . She was quick letting me know since I am always looking for one to use in the garage .

Nope, those are traditional welding rods and they occasionally are used for gas pedal to carb rods. The new plastic ones don't work worth a d***. :LOL::LOL:
I would put them on Ebay.

I've even used those to hang my pants on. ;)
We must be on the same track,we just ran across a yard sale last week, the seller had a box full, I bought the whole box for a buck....:D
Those look to be cheap Chinese knock offs.

You could walk into a business and tell them you locked yourself out and they would have hangers to loan you. Now they either don't have one or it's made from plastic.

Maybe this will work? It's a thread about a guy that pulled a pattern off a baseball cap & made a duplicate out of aluminum. The guy has skills.
I once had one that a local Deputy needed to get a car unlocked. We stood there with him for a long time when the gal (whose car he was trying to unlock) asked, what about trying the other side, to which he said, I already got that one! ! ! !

Those are what I learned to gas weld on. :LOL::D Wonder how those car held up after putting them back together with those??:eek: That was when you could exactly chip a car and get by with it.:confused:
They were also good for bending straight, sticking a match in one end and reaching back to light the pilot light on the old water heater. Dont forget hanging the Christmas wreath on the front door, too.
Man, I gotta get me one of them aluminum hats---- Hope the make one with a bill on each end for those days that I don't know if I'm coming or going???:whacked:
