The poison isn't a good idea if you have cats as they'll get the mouse after he has eaten the bait and it will more than likely kill them too! I still buy the old style wooden traps and put a piece of the peanut from chunky peanut butter into the small hole on the trap. I force the piece of nut into the hole so the mouse has "work" to get it out. Then set it with a hair trigger, watch your fingers! Gets em every time! I'm pretty lucky as I live next to woods and open fields all around me, so I get my share of the mouse population. I have 3 outside barn cats that I can count on. You're dead when you get caught in their "Triangle of Death'!....CR
