Yep, there have been many days when I ask myself what the @%$& am I doing?
Then after a brief break, I hop on here ask advice and trudge ahead! Unfortunately that doesn't extend to heaters! I just tell the wife to call the repair man! Out of my league and with us both working it's hard to get the time for the honey do list, not alone being here for a repair man to fix something.
The good part of our 1865 house is I helped build the 2006 addition from digging the trenches for the footings all the way to wiring and finish plumbing. So as long as it falls into a category I know, I'm o.k. Cooling and heating is just one of those specialty fields I've never worked in. I guess if I took a course I'd be o.k. But when it comes to the internals and problems like your experiencing....UNCLE!
