Great chart - I'm sure I've seen a lot of these marks over the years and never put them together with production dates.

In the old shop were I worked for a couple years back in the early 80's.
I busted more knuckels with them snap on ratchets than I could count.
The gears would break while trying to pull the plugs on the rear diffs.
I finally started bring in my craftsman and using it instead.

That Snap-on #10 1/2" ratchet in the picture above is date coded 1933. It was buried in a garden for many years before I found it in 1995. I cleaned it up and started using it again, still works great and its 76 years old.
These 47 year old Snap-on flare nut wrenches do say right on them "NOT GUAR" next to the date code. They might break someday but at least they don't bend like the chinese ones.
