I always enjoyed his constructive advice, had a question some topic and he called and gave me the specifics on the project, never met him but was a pleasure to here from him on the site. Our prayer for all his family and friends he touched.

If you havent read Jay's book stuff, you are missing a super neat trip back into the old hot rodding days.....do a search on HAMB regarding "The red roadster" or "Doofus and Whiny"
I really brings back memories of the old days.....and it is a great way to remember Jay's talents.

I haven't posted here in a long time, but just saw the thread of Jay's passing on the HAMB... When I got my deuce a few years ago there were a handful of older guys that stuck out as helpful and knowledgable, without being "know it alls"... Jay was at the top of that list. When I had lots of questions, He was always willing to help me out with a problem and never talked down to me because i was a rookie rodder. It's really a loss to the hot rod community to not have him around anymore. Just sort of makes you realize life is not infinite. He will certainly be missed. Thanks for everything C9....
