Microsoft Image Resizer Tool

Just thought some of ya might like to try this out. Its a simple way to resize your pics to put here on CHR. There is 5 sizes you can make: Small(640x480), Medium(800x600)good size for here, Large(1024x768), Handheld PC(240x320) and Custom Size. Be sure to uncheck the box in the "Advanced" part so you save a copy if you want.

If you have a lot of images you need to resize and don’t want to go through the hassle of having to open each pic in your graphics program to resize and then save, then check out this image resize tool from Microsoft.

This tool allows you to resize any number of selected images by simply right clicking on them. Keep in mind if you are resizing to a specific size you will want to make sure all the selected images are roughly the same size, otherwise they could turn out disproportionate. If you have a lot of images you are having to get “web ready”, this tool can be a huge time saver.

I would suggest making a copy of a pic or use a pic ya don't care about first to practice with.

Note: This application
is only listed as being supported on Windows XP so it may or may not work if you have a different version of Windows.

This Utility will not work with Windows "Vista" and probably the new OS Windows 7. Although I haven't tried the Program Compatibility tool on them yet.

I've been using that one for a long time, works great! and I like having it on the right button! ;)

photobucket fills my needs

Larry,I used it yesterday to put some Items on craig's List that were to large to post.

Right click and you are there,a lot quicker than Photobucket and some of the others.

Glad to hear it Don!!:) That's what I really liked about it. But what I like about it the most is I can highlight say a 100 photos(shift click 1st photo-shift click last photo) in a folder and then right click on any one of them and resize the whole darn folder worth of pics instead of resizing each one and saving a copy in Photoshop. Cool!!! Sure saved me one heck of a lot of time.

That's to bad about not working with Vista Speedy, I probably should of mentioned that. That means it probably won't work with Windows 7 either,,,, bummer. I'm using XP Pro right now but I'll be getting a new Windows 7 system early next year.

I am running Windows 7 Home edition and just tried it. Worked great for me. It must another one of those Vista issues.

Does not work for 7 Premium.

I would think if it worked with Windows 7 Home edition why not on Windows 7 Premium. What did it do when you tried to load/install it? Did you get any messages telling what the problem was? I was really hoping it worked with 7 as I'm not sure what version I'll put on my new puter.

Rickomatic, did you do anything special to get it to run on your system??

I got the Not compaitble with Winders OS message.

Check online for solutions. None found.

Thats to bad Chris. Ya know, I wonder if the MS Software Design Team created something similar for Windows 7. I'll look into it.
