My LAST transaction with eBay was a real scam....and it was a buyer scamming me.... Sold him a pair of Mustang spindles, he specified UPS for delivery.... Well, got the delivery confirmation from UPS, the guy swore up and down to Pay Pal that I hadn't sent them to him.... As with many deliveries, nobody was home so UPS left them at the door.... Anyway, Pay Pal gave the clown his money back--taken out of my account, of course.... I did all the shipping stuff by their rules, but the guy was just flat a liar.... Also, he waited til like 2 weeks after his parts were delivered to file his "claim. After a bit of "research" I finally got the guys phone number and called him up to tell him to please either send me my spindles or my money..... He told me "no way, but thanks"!!!!!
Buyer protection is good....but the seller needs a bit of protection, too. Ebay went the other way now... The seller is at fault unless he can prove he isn't.... As with many things I just chose to avoid any further conflicts and moved all my for sale stuff over to Racing Junk and Craigslist....
And, as a "persoanl payback" to eBay and Pay Pal, I still go thru the eBay site to look for killer deals on parts....then I contact the seller--primarily the one's with the "eBay stores", by phone to arrange a deal not involving all the Pay Pal and eBay fees..... So far, not a single seller has declined to make an offline deal...... I've also discovered that once you conclude the deal offline, the shipping rate is usually quite a bit lower....hmmmmm.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
Where is everybody?
