Smoke got the win and Mark finished a couple places ahead of poor 'lil Jimmy, so Mark increased his lead on the championship by 8 points.... Good news all around!!!!!

Typical crappy ending at a boring race track... They might as well call the cookie cutters "johnson tracks" and they make sure half of the chase races are on those tracks. Still have Charlotte and Texas on the schedule. Between boring tracks and the COT they are trying to make nascar as boring as F1..

You guys needed to tune in to the Bathurst 1000 in Aussie, where Marcos Ambrose usually plays, was a real doozy yesterday,,,hard fought battle, but GM won,,didnt want to be embarrassed by Ford a second year running,,,
Only saw the first few laps and the last six or seven,CARNAGE....oh well, will see the highlights over the next few days..

NASCAR has some great tracks but it's more important to them to build places they can sell seats even if it diminishes the quality of the racing. As it is with a lot of things, the big money has hurt it. I'm not ready to give up on it but I hate to see it going downhill.

I watched the race while doing some other 'stuff'. I do have to say that, like him or not, Montoya did make some interesting moves and about the only ones that weren't cookie cutter, like that ho-hum track.

Too bad Denny Hamlin didn't learn his lesson earlier that you can't turn down into another car (and two days in a row)

As far as Johnson, great driver, great crew, but about as interesting an individual as yesterday's mashed potatoes.

The old guy, still in second and only 12 points out, so there is a chance a senior citizen can do it

Yuppers, Mark looked great all day....Just needed a couple breaks to go his way and....... but yeah, old Jimmie is as bland as vanilla ice cream--melted vanilla ice cream at that......

I think people do not like Jimmie because he is consistantly good. Just like people hated Jeff Gordon when he was untouchable.
