I had the privilege to work with him one summer. When he was thirteen he left an abusive home and fled to Wyoming wilderness where he met a female trapper who took him in and taught him to run trap lines, and cared for him like a son. When I met him he was in his 70's that was the late 1980's! I will always remember everything he taught me relating to tack, packing, and riding a horse.
