This past weekend (August 22) was my son's wedding. While I offered to have him driven in my '34 Ford 4 door Deluxe street rod from the church to the reception, he chose to drive his restored 1980 Chev Stepside pickup with the big tires and 6 inch lift.

Thursday (all day) we spent cleaning and detailing the truck. I was assigned to the aluminum rims and chrome parts while Jeff did the paint, windows, and interior. The truck looked great on Saturday Morning for the wedding. The weather was great so the photographer took some great pictures (I'll post later).

Since he didn't want to use my '34 for the wedding, I used it as my coach for my wife and myself. Everything went great.

Monday was a different story. Before my son went on the honeymoon, he asked if I could mow his yard. While Mowing, my wife took my 2007 ford supercrew pickup truck into town. While returning, she got distracted, crossed the centerline and went into the ditch scraping a tree and causing $7,800 worth of damage. She wasn't injured, not even bruised so I feel blessed. I reminded her that "it is only sheet metal and paint" and fortunately it wasn't the street rod or the corvette that was used that day.

Her Guardian Angel is working overtime.
