HAVE YOU EVER?

1. Have you ever driven your manual transmission car and your girlfriend shifted gears for you because you didn't want to take your arm from around her?

2. Have you ever been parking with your girlfriend and the car wouldn't start afterward?

3. Have you ever found clothing in your vehicle that you don't know who it belonged to? Or was the "I don't know" an excuse?

4. Have you ever installed a reverberator in your vehicle?

5. Have you ever used wire to hold your license plate on?

6. Have you ever hunted game from inside your vehicle? Did you shoot a gun inside the vehicle?

7. Have you ever have fireworks explode inside your vehicle?

8. Have you ever entered the drive in movie with people in your trunk?

9. Have you ever left the drive in movie but forgot to put the speaker back on its rack?

10. Have you ever rolled your window down at the drive in restaurant and the tray fell off the window?

11. Have you ever worked on your car beside the road using a cigarette lighter for light?

12. Have you ever put an on/off switch in your brake light circuit?

13. Have you ever accidently had the car in reverse at the starting line?

14. Have you ever red lighted by more than two seconds?

Ouch - I have to say "yes" to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8

#8 ...I've been the driver and also been the "trunk monkey".

Here's some more questions:

Have you ever parked in the back row facing the wrong direction? :-)~

Have you ever had to ask your friends to move down a few spaces, so you could have some privacy?

Yes to all except 6,7,12, 13, and14.

In 1964-1967, we had an absolutely perfect parking spot on the East side of Springfield....just East of where the 65 bypass is now and about where Sunshine St. is....it was a location at the intersection of two paved roads and had access to both roads. The spot was about 1/8 mile off each of the paved roads so you could see anyone approaching at night (if you were paying attention). The spot was at a high point on the dirt road so, if your car was low on battery, you could roll start it (sometimes the radio was on too long). The turnoff to the dirt road was obscured by brush on both entrances....a perfect place. Now, it's probably houses or a junk food store..... and the ladies that I took to the parking spot are over 60 now......

There is a soon to be demolished (I think) middle school in that area now.
I'll have to ask some of the guys I know that are natives if they know exactly where you're talking about. I moved here in "73.

the location was further East from the highway 65 location.....I couldnt find it now because of the new construction....used to be, Glendale High School was way out and we hunted rabbits just South of there.

Lot of apartments on the west side of 65 and gated communities on the east side. If you haven't been back in awhile there are a lot of things you wouldn't recognize.
