I was driving around local yesterday when I spotted a '63 Falcon 2dr for sale, looked decent, drove by figuring it would be way to much money... on the way back I figured I'd stop and check it out.. basic Falcon, 170 6Cyl, 3spd solid under carraige.. toe board on the pass side needed a little work. solid body, no bondo, no rust. was painted at some point but wasn't very shiny.. 67k miles, runs and drives, good original interior.. needed very little to make it nice. $1,300 B/O.. I have the money, but that money is set aside for the Chevy.. so as much as I'd love to have the round body, I have to pass on it if the Chevy is going to roll this year You don't know what you've got til it's gone

It does`nt really suck being addicted to old cars, but it does suck being poor and addicted to old cars!!

This hobby would be so much better if i had Jay Leno`s money and shop. But then you would not have the time for all the cars.

Yea.. I pulled the Chevy out this morning. was going to take it around the block but the brakes are flat, I never checked the brake fluid b4, so no wonder You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Matt - you're lucky being poor in this case. If that Falcon needed toe board work, then there is a better then even chance that the torque box was rotten as well - remember - unitized body/frame. ( I had a '60 that just needed a little floor board work then a SB Chebbie installed - it ended up in a junk yard. Thank goodness I only paid $15 for it ) )Dave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

yea I know.. would be a nice easy car to restore.. the toe board was just starting to show rot... my '67 Falcon the passanger side toe board was gone.... but when I pulled the Chevy out of the garage ,I looked back and smiled, I'd rather have that old car than the round body. it'll never be perfect, but it will always be mine..You don't know what you've got til it's gone
