Corvette?
My part time neighbor rolled into town this week and helped me get the engine in the truck. While we were working he sheepishly told me that he had heard of a car that might interest me. It's a 64 vette convertable. He said it's in good shape and the guy only wants 20K. I hate hearing stuff like this, when I don't have cash on hand, but then I started thinking, this might be worth cashing out some of my rapidly diminishing 403B (like a 401K) and invest in the car that if it is remotely decent is surely worth twice that. I've probably lost 20k in the last six months alone. What do you think? Like I need to ask!

My motto has always been that money is made to spend, so I am probably the worst person to give advise. But the way the stock market has been going and the way classic cars have been appreciating, I think you should just do it. Plus, you could always sell the vette down the road if needed.
Any vette roadster is worth considering, and you would be doing a lot to help the American economy. :D:D

I'm all for stimulating the economy where cars are concerned!:cool::3dSMILE:

Seriously, vettes are climbing in price, and I'm sure the garage could be modified for two! With the way the market is tumbling, it's not going to hurt to pull the cash out now, but I'll have to see the car first!

64s have the least value of the C2s but that's still a very good price if the car is decent at all.. Corvette prices ARE down like everything else is right now, definitely is the time to buy..
