Look what I found...old red wagon!
Driving home today I saw this out by the curb with some other trash in front of somebodys house. I couldnt help myself and threw it in my trunk. Im thinking two things....1) Swap meet wagon, or 2) rebuild it and let my daugter play with it...which im totally leaning towards, she will love it.
Its old, but I dont know how old, anybody know? Ive never heard of Tornado Deluxe...i've always seen Radio Flyer. This wagon is all metal, with metal wheels and "hubcaps", not like the crap today thats all made of plastic.
Its these little things that make me happy.
Just wanted to share my find with someone else.

Get some old ATV wheels and tires and make it look 4WD...i seen one like that and it looked pretty coolVROOM, VROOM,...BOOM!!!!

I agree! Might need to beef up the axles a bit to take the power but other than that you should be good. Wings may help the landing as well...

A nice find, I'm wondering if the "H" on the hubcaps means Huffy, the same people that built the bicycles.

I was thinking the same thing. We lived fairly close to the Huffy plant in Dayton when I was 8 or 9 years old, but I don't remember a wagon like that one. Originally Posted by Mike52

I think the wagon I had as a kid was a Tornado Deluxe, or parts of at least... my grandfather had gotten wagon parts out of a junkyard and assembled it for me and my brother.. somehow we broke the handle supports that went to the steering, and my grandfather always had to weld it... always kept it around until my mom tossed it to the junk man a couple years ago.. probably dated back to the 50's or so..You don't know what you've got til it's gone

A Hemi would be nice, but my daughter is more of a Chevy girl!
Love the ATV Wheels, looks like i'd have to fab up a lift kit. The seat inside is a great idea too.
Upon further inspection, I found the word HAMILTON on the sidewall of the tires, so I guess thats what the "H" means on the hubcap. I tried searching google for Hamilton wagons and came up with nothing, strange.
If this thing is from the 50's thats so cool, retro stuff is great, especially for free.

You could do this to it. I built this awhile back. But than I don't know if I'd want to cut up an old school wagon like yours.
