Not this bird!!!
Hey Guys;
A little while back, I was sitting at a light in my mustang.
A primed grey 68 charger pulled up beside me.
The guy had his family in the car with him and his son
was in the back seat giving me the thumbs down.
The father was revving up the motor and looking at me.
When the light changed the guy took off smoking his tires, and
I pulled off like the old man that I am becoming.
Well within a 1/8 mile, I caught back up to the charger and as I
went by I waved. Not at the folks in the charger but at the police
officer that had been sitting behind us at the light.
I wonder if the guy has learned, what the rearview mirror
is for yet. HE! HE! HE! I think that officer thought he was gonna
get two birds with that one stone. Kurt

Same thing happened to my Son Don a little while ago. Some guy in a new Hemi Charger squared off against Don's Z06 Vette at a light. Don put some lengths on him, but the guy still wanted to try again at the next light. Don had beaten him once, so he let the guy take off all by himself while Don drove away slowly. Then the cop appeared and pulled the Charger over. :D
You gotta know when to fold em.

We've become so protected in my local town that I don't even think about a stop light gran prix anymore. A while back some guy in a Lamborghini (male menopausemobile!!) took off around the corner smokin' 'em real nice - little did he know that the big blue and gold Crown Vic sitting on my right side had a birds eye view - surprising how fast those iron monsters can be - and had him in a half mile.

IC2; We got some fast cops down here in florida too.
Some of the highway patrols have them new Camero's.
A couple years back when they first got them, we had a cop
get killed over by Daytona chasing a porsh and motor cycle.
They had been racing when the cop gave chase and lost control
hitting another car and then some tree's and split the car in two.
They caught the guy on the bike later that day, he won't be getting
out of jail any time soon. Kurt

We've got a few Charger squads in our town now, not sure what they're running but I heard one run thru the gears this afternoon and I don't think I want to find out.

When I drive my oldies, I've got a better chance of getting a ticket for impeding traffic then getting one for going to fast.:LOL:

Our town doesn't have a stop light :3dSMILE: The closest one is in a town 19 miles away and there is only one there. :D
I use to clean cop cars at night (2.00-6.00am) back in Mn. We would get on the highway and race against my '67 Camaro 454/4spd or my '72 Vega with a built 283 with 3-2's, 4spd. I have never been beat by one! :D :p

When I worked at the Chevrolet dealership we took the police chief 72 Nova with a 454 out on the unopened section of freeway. At 160mph the flywheel let loose and cut the fuel line, the fire was fanatasic sight......lol The car had come in for a rattle when shifting and was covered by warranty.
