I have 8 grankids who love to be around gramps cars. I do get tired of fixing mars and scratches caused by numerous friendly "helping" hands. But my relationship to them is more important to me than paint scratches so I don't want to shew them away from getting the hobby fever either.
This paint would be a real boost for my arthritus.

ON a similar note, we had a PPG new products engineer in a couple of years back and he said that the paint is the single largest cost item on a new car....more than the engine or the body sheet metal. He also said that there is a significant difference in paint..even within a single supplier. He said that even though a color is the same, the quality can be significantly different.... and the aftermarket paint is different than the OEM factory paint (makes sense).

Well hey what great news. We just went to a local crab feed, if I'd know one part crab shell to 99.9 parts urethane did this, I'd kept some legs!
What a cool concept. Where we live space always seems a premium. Therefore parking spaces are crammed together to gaurentee door dings, which people think are fine to do to someone else without leaving a note, but then are happy to complain up the yin yang if someone scratches their car. We were in a shopping mall in Corte Madera(high brow, shisshy type with expensive cars), when this guy pulls in next to us, clips our rear bummer denting it and scrapping the paint off. He then jumps out of his car and starts to go into the mall. I called him over, and he says doesn't look bad to me. I tell him I want his insurance. He says how about a twenty. I tell him the car just came back from the shop two weeks prior from someone rearending it. He says how about 40? Meanwhile my wife starts chimming in, just let it go Steve. Now I'm pissed at both of them, and again say I want to handle this through insurance companies, the guy panics and says ok, how about 200 bucks, I smile and say sure!
The moral of the story is people do things to others with no remorse, we sold the honda two weeks later after I buffed the scratch out and used a little touch up paint. The 200 went a long ways towards a nice weekend and dinner!
Self repair paint would have been even better!
"
"No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
