Good point Jerry. A college degree doesn't guarantee anything, still got to get off your butt and work!!!!
The average Joe, hard working guys, are the one's who built this country, probably going to be up to them to get it back on track.... There ain't no free rides anymore, time to get back to work!!!
I would have to agree as well. I was the youngest in my family. I just didn't have the focus or drive to do College first go round. By time I was 31, I had enough work experience to count as college equivelents in the government sector. I actually went back to get my degree because the jobs I was applying for required a masters degree. I now have several degrees, but the point is they weren't necessary to pursue my interests and they certainly were no guarentee for a job. Most of my relatives are blue colar, and doing just fine in life. Dave hit the nail on the head, it's a sense of entitlement that people have today. They believe for some reason we should pay them for poor work ethics, bad communication skills, and ill manors. Thier role models are reality tv folks who perform with a attitude on tv and generate big bucks. What they really should be watching is VH1's where are they now show. Here is a great program that shows one hit wonder bands, who are computer programers, lounge singers, school teachers, parents, etc.. people who really did make the bucks, and still ended up broke.
I guess what I am getting to, like Dave and most of you have already said, is not a political point but a societal behavioral point, that hard physical labor is beneith us. That we all deserve 200k a years livings with person company cars, jet, etc..! Look at most of those folks now! Their all going to jail, killing themselves, hiding, etc for bilking everyone else out of their hard earned cash!
I think every kid should be given responsibility as early as they can handle it. No allowance for free, instead a wage for weekly chores. Work study in High School. Bring back vocational classes to public schools, to give kids skills they enjoy and can use to be employable. When they turn 18, 2 years civil service with emphasis on improving this country, outreach work, forest service trail maintenance, fire crews, road workers, My version of the CCC, where hard work is rewarded with hard cash, and after your two years are up, you can get something like a GI bill. Think of all the internal problems that could be solved. Think of all the punk ass kids being turned into responsible young adults. It's a start!
We're starting to see lot's of "Bartering" and "cash only" business happening in our area.
Seems like the working folks are fed up with supporting those who don't want to contribute.
I wonder where this is headed?
For the record, My Wife and I just opened our second business.
We now have two Vet practices and 24 employees.
You can't imagine how much tax we have to pay to stay open and Obama hasn't increased them yet.
Makes me wonder how much I'll have to pay this time next year.

this really doesn't go along with anything, but since Crane cams has gone under, their old line of Energizer cam profiles are being continued as Summit Street/Strip grinds........
