Hurrah! It is obvious to paranoid thinkers that certain segments of the population only want turn-key vehicles and have no appreciation or interest in the technology as do the folks on this Forum. However just as horseless carriages were a revolution there will be some growing pains if/when electric cars become more common. The natural way to make the transition is to make something better than the old vehicles but some of the Green People want to force the transition by removing the old before the new is here which is a very painful way to make the change considering the SEMA industry and the jobs it supports.

Truly good news - regardless of what you drive, when the old ones are gone, they're gone forever. I live in Oregon and the prevailing attitude among law makers in the metro areas is that "all cars are bad for the environment" and we should all ride mass transit. I'm certainly in favor if good stewardship concerning our environment, but the notion that eliminating automobiles will cure all of our pollution woes is way off base.
We need to be creative but can not allow the uninformed to strip us of the supply of "vintage tin" that makes hot roddin' fun and somewhat affordable.

It is great that SEMA keeps a watchful eye on the lawmakers who for the most part seem to lack common sense when it comes to anything these days:( but when we elect people that are living lifestyles far above the average American,what can one expect.Almost every automotive website made us aware of this bill and directed us as to where we could address our opinions of it,so a BIG THANKS! :D to all!WE WON!!:D(for now)
