Picture postcard this morning with ice on the trees, snow on the ground & bright blue skies. Down side is -2°f.

Ain't winter fun.
There's just a dusting of snow in the second pic. This is all sleet & freezing rain. the real snow comes tomorrow.

Sorry guys, no snow in central Va yet, but I am hanging it up till it gets warmer. I worked on wiring the headllights and got the tailights hooked up while listening to Christmas music on the local station but the temp in the garage never got above 64F and was mostly in the 50F range so I ended up with my usual sinus infection. My lady MD-GP got me some amoxcillin for a ten day supply and this morning I slept late and woke up feeling like I had come out of a dark cave so I guess I was miserable for a week or so. Saturday I ran a red light (squeaked through) so I think my fever was messing me up. Thus I am a house boy till it warms up again, maybe by March 1 around here.

Why blame us? We're just the middleman. It is really a problem with those dang Canadians. It''s all their fault. I think there aught to be a law about them letting their weather out without a leash or at least a fenced border. We don't let our tornados run all over their country so why should we have to put up with their weather coming down here and taking a big ol snow dump in our country?

And it won't even stop for Christmas. Compare with the earlier picture and you can see it just keeps piling on. Doesn't look like much, but we did have a very slight thaw of an inch or two the previous day, so.............
Just glad we didn't do the fuel price panic thing and get rid of the Tahoe. We had three family/friend gatherings yesterday and wouldn't have been able to do a one of them without the 4X.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

We did the same in 2004 and haven't had an outage over 5 hours since. My wife said it was the best money spent, just to ward off those lengthy outages. A similar happened in 1996 when I got tired of shoveling snow and bought a 48" wide snow blower for my tractor. No more blizzards for 4 years, and only had two since then. Sometimes you just have to invest some money to get real life rewards.
